The newly revised Anti-Unfair Competition Law of China has been come into effect since 15 October 2025. The changes focus on the six areas:
1 Improvement of the provisions on acts of unfair competition.
2 Detailed descriptions on unfair competition behaviors such as commercial bribery, false advertising, improper premium sales, and commercial defamation.
3 Improvement of the provisions on unfair competition behaviors on the internet.
4 Added provisions governing "involutionary/unhealthy" competition.
5 Added provisions addressing the issue of arrears in payments to small and medium-sized enterprises.
6 Added provisions on extraterritorial application effectiveness.
